Accreditations

Sillabo Italian language courses have been recognised and approved by the Italian MINISTRY OF EDUCATION since 2003.

The Italian Ministry of Education has evaluated:-

• the academic qualifications of our director, managers and teachers
• all facilities relating to security and safety (in compliance with law 626/94 )
• all documentation relating to courses, programs, levels, teaching materials and teaching equipment
• teaching methods in class

Accreditation by the Tuscan Region

The school and its staff were recently inspected, accredited and approved by the Tuscan Region, which is actually the sole body authorised to approve/accredit a school in this area.

Member of A.S.I.L.S. (Associazione delle Scuole di Italiano come Lingua Seconda) The Association of Schools of Italian as a Second Language, with member schools well-represented in the various regions of Italy, is designed to guarantee the quality of instruction and professional level of services offered to students.

Language courses have been approved by most of the German States.

DITALS and teachers' qualification

All our teachers have a degree from an Italian University, are experienced and normally have DITALS (a specific diploma for teaching Italian issued by the University of Siena). They all attend an initial  internal training course and regular in-service update courses. As we believe it is important to keep up to date with new ideas about language teaching, each year a member of the staff attend courses and holds seminar for her/his colleagues.
